Stronger Together for a Rabies-Free World ๐ค๐
Rabies is 100% preventable, yet once clinical signs appear, it is almost always fatal.
Preventing rabies requires cooperation among communities, governments, veterinary teams, healthcare workers, and animal owners.
Through the One Health approach, we recognize that human, animal, and environmental health are interconnected. By working together, we can stop rabies at its source and protect both people and animals. ๐ถ๐ฑโค๏ธ
๐ค Focus: Cooperation
Ending rabies requires everyone to play their part:
๐๏ธ Communities โ promote awareness and responsible animal ownership.
๐ Veterinary teams โ vaccinate and manage animal populations.
๐ฅ Healthcare workers โ provide timely post-exposure care.
๐๏ธ Governments โ strengthen surveillance, vaccination, and rabies-control programs.
๐ Global Goal

๐ก๏ธ Key Prevention Steps

๐งผ Wash the Wound: After any animal bite or scratch, immediately wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes.
๐ฅ Seek Help Immediately: Visit a healthcare facility as soon as possible for assessment and appropriate post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
