Yesterday, some of our Year 7 & 8 tamariki headed to Hobsonville School for an awesome day of Mixed Rippa, Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball! Our students played brilliantly, showing plenty of skill, determination and great sportsmanship throughout the day.

A fantastic day of competition, teamwork and, most importantly, plenty of fun! Plus, the bonus of pizza for lunch!

What an amazing Lea Faka-Tonga | Tonga Language Week we had last week!
We began with a flag raising led by our student leaders, while throughout the week our Tūī students shared Tongan language and culture with classes across the school.
We finished on Friday with a special assembly celebrating this year’s theme, followed by a wonderful shared me’akai.
Mālō ‘aupito to our amazing staff and kāinga who made the week so special — and what a wonderful way to use our new stage for the first time!

We have had such a wonderful week celebrating Book Week, and what better way to finish than with our Book Character Parade this morning!

It was amazing to see so many of our tamariki (and staff!) dressed up, getting creative and bringing their favourite book characters to life. The excitement around the school was incredible, and we loved seeing the huge range of characters on display!

A big thank you to our students, whānau & staff for getting behind the fun and helping make today so special. And well done to our prize winners this morning!

We had a wonderful week celebrating ‘Epetoma o te reo Māori Kūki 'Airani - Cook Islands Māori Language Week at school!

Our office looked stunning, our senior students supported learning with the younger teams about their culture throughout the week and on Friday we finished with a special assembly full of wonderful performances! Our students who performed did so with such pride and confidence, and we were incredibly proud of them.

We closed the week by coming together as a kura to share kai — a special way to celebrate the language, culture and connections that have been at the heart of our week.

Meitaki ma'ata to everyone who helped make the week so special!
