After 45 years of dedicated service, we are celebrating our much-loved caretaker Mike and his service to Freemans Bay School. Over the years, Mike has become such an important part of our school community, and generations of students, whānau, and staff have fond memories of his kindness, humour, and unwavering commitment to our kura.
To celebrate Mike and acknowledge this incredible milestone, we warmly invite members of the Freemans Bay School community — past and present — to join us for an afternoon of memories, laughter, and celebration.
Whether you are a former student, staff member, parent, whānau member, or friend of the school who has known Mike over the years, we would love for you to come along and help us give him the send-off he deserves.
Date: Friday 22nd of May
Time: 5.30pm - 7.30pm
Location: Freemans Bay School Hall
As this celebration is intended for those within the Freemans Bay School community who know Mike or have a connection to the school, we kindly ask that attendance be limited to invited community members so we can keep the occasion personal and meaningful for Mike and his loved ones.
Please feel free to share this invitation with past students, colleagues, and families who have been part of Mike’s journey at Freemans Bay School.
If you have any questions, queries or would like to contribute in some way feel free to contact Caitlin at [email protected].
There will also be a koha box available on the day for anyone who would like to make a small contribution towards Mike, so he can enjoy something special for himself. Please know that contributions are completely optional — your presence in celebrating Mike is what matters most.
We hope you can join us to celebrate an extraordinary 45 years of service and to thank Mike for the lasting impact he has had on so many lives.
