This term students from Whānau Huia have been working with Les Hoerara who taught our kids about Māori Art history with an emphasis on Kōwhaiwhai.

These students took inspiration from those sessions and created collaborative class pieces that are 2m x 1m in size.

It’s been incredible seeing how students have worked together, and negotiated their ideas with each other. When these pieces are finished they will be put up on display in the hall 🎨 🖼️.

What an opportunity and such an enriching time for our tamariki.

👀 Spotted on the streets around school today! 🚘

Our student Travelwise Team was out in force with speed guns collecting real-time data on traffic speeds in our school zone. They’re gathering info to help keep our streets safe for everyone walking, scootering, and biking to school!

A quick reminder to our awesome school community: please slow down, watch your speed, and help keep our tamariki safe. 🚸❤️
