City Vision Puketāpapa

City Vision Puketāpapa City Vision Puketāpapa - for a strong community voice on the Puketāpapa Local Board. Authorised by Robert Gallagher, 15 Torrance St, Auckland

Your Roskill Community Voice representatives have been driving positive change on Puketapapa Local Board since 2010. Here in Puketāpapa there is a real feeling that our community have not received its fair share for many years, and that our voice is not being heard on important issues. On the board, your Roskill Community Voice representatives Julie Fairey, Harry Doig, Bobby Shen and Jon Turner ha

ve worked hard to give our community a voice. Key issues they have championed include:

- Uplifting the voices of our diverse community
- Funding to protect and improve our local environment
- Campaigning against more pokies and off-license liquor outlets in Puketāpapa
- Promoting greater protection and recognition of our local heritage
- Advocating for Roskill to receive a fair share of funding and resources from Governing Body
- Fighting for a Living Wage to all council workers
- Supporting local community groups to have the funding and support they need to thrive and grow
- Providing better transport choices for residents

We are a progressive team and a part of the City Vision whanau, working toward our broader objectives while retaining our local focus and identity. We want to see an Auckland in which local communities are empowered, public assets are retained, public transport is made a real priority, and our rating system is made more equitable.

Urban planning isn't just about buildings, it's about building a better future for our city. 🏙️

This quick guide shows the clear difference between City Vision and the opposition when it comes to creating a more sustainable, liveable Auckland.

Our vision for our urban environment means:
- Better Flood Protection: Prioritising solutions that keep our communities safe.
- Full Community Input: Ensuring your voice is heard in the decisions that shape your neighbourhood.
- Less Sprawl: Building a more connected city to protect our green spaces.
- Less Infrastructure Costs: Investing smartly and sustainably for the long term.
- More Homes by Public Transport: Creating thriving, accessible communities.

We believe in progress, not the status quo.
