📣 Funding is now open for ideas from the Wesley and Roskill community! Got an idea that could make a difference in Wesley or Roskill? Recovery in Roskill funding is about ideas from our community, for our community. Local people, groups and organisations can put forward ideas and next year, Wesley and Roskill residents will vote together on which projects receive funding.

Your idea needs to respond to one or more of the six priorities our community identified following the 2023 floods:

💧 Living with Water – helping our neighbourhoods better understand and live with flooding and water

📣 Power to the People – strengthening local voices, leadership and advocacy

🏡 Restoring Safe Ground – helping neighbourhoods feel safe, cared for and connected

🤝 Connections that Count – strengthening relationships and connections between people

❤️ Weaving Lasting Wellbeing – supporting community and whānau wellbeing

🌱 Future-Ready Communities – building skills, preparedness and resilience for the future

Have an idea? There are two easy ways to get started.

Come to our Ideas Hui on 17th October - 10am–1pm at Wesley Community Centre. Come along, have a kōrero, meet others and get some help turning your idea into a simple application.

Or just apply directly using the link below:

You don't need to have everything figured out yet. If you've got an idea that could help Wesley and Roskill recover, become more resilient or strengthen our community, we'd love to hear it.

We had a great balance of physical and brain workouts on Thursday. 🚲🤖
Everyone enjoyed having a go and taking a lovely ride. A huge thank you to Dom from Puketāpapa Climate Action. A big thanks also to Richard from Bike Hub Mt Roskill for helping the community check their bikes to make sure they were in good condition for the road, and for sharing helpful bike maintenance tips.

A big thanks to the facilitators from Bricks4Kidz Mount Eden. It was a fun and creative afternoon with hands-on building and learning using motorised LEGO models.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a lovely day.💛✨

It's with a heavy heart we've decided to cancel our Teen Pride Club/Teen Film Club programming for now due to low attendance - thanks to everyone who joined us while we've run it 🫶 🌈

❗ We'd like to plug another club for teens though - Scraps ❗

Scraps is queer-friendly, youth-led, and centered around art. Running weekly until the end of October, you can either bring your own projects to work on or join in on the theme of the session 🎨 🖌 🎭

🗓️ Every Tuesday
