Over the past 40 years, Playco has delivered more than 4,000 playgrounds across New Zealand — and we know there are plenty of old gems still out there!

We’re pretty proud to have played a part in bringing Gore Main School’s long-awaited new playground to life! 🛝✨

It’s always rewarding to see a project come together, but even better to see the finished playground doing exactly what it was made for — kids climbing, playing, exploring and having a great time. And cooler to see many generations of kids growing up with our equipment!

A huge congratulations to Gore Main School and everyone involved in making this project happen. It’s been a pleasure supplying the playground, and we know it’ll be enjoyed by generations of Gore Main kids for many years to come.

What an awesome addition to the school and the wider Gore community! 💙👏

Gore Main School has been a pretty special part of our family over the years, with all three of our McHaffie girls going through there… and now the next generation of the family, the Gibsons, have started there too 🥰

So when the opportunity came up for McHaffie Building to get behind the school’s long awaited new playground, it was an easy YES from us!

Pretty cool to see it finally finished and, more importantly, full of kids enjoying it 🙌🏼

2026 marks a huge milestone for us — 40 years of Playco and four decades of helping shape play across Aotearoa New Zealand. 🇳🇿

From humble beginnings as a one-man, family-owned business in 1986, Playco has grown into one of New Zealand’s leading commercial playground manufacturers — while remaining proudly family owned and operated across two generations.

A lot has changed in 40 years, but our commitment to quality, great service and creating places where Kiwi kids can play remains the same.

And we’re celebrating with you! As we head into the International Principals Conference NZPF 2026, we’ll be giving back to the schools and customers who have been part of our journey.

A small neighbourhood playground with a big story ⚓️

This awesome anchor was reclaimed by Auckland Council from the Ports of Auckland and thoughtfully repurposed as a striking architectural feature, perfectly complementing the playspace’s maritime theme. A great example of giving new life to local history while creating a unique community space for families to enjoy.

Playco recently had a pleasure of working with St John the Evangelist School in Otara, South Auckland. We designed and installed both a junior playground and a senior playground and the kids are looking forward to coming back to school next week to enjoy more play time!
