🔵 Blue Watch Recap 🚒🔥

Q: “When do you train and when are you on call?”

A: “We train while on call and when the pager goes off, we turn out”

Our crews train while on call, they’re rostered week nights and all weekend. All while balancing weekday jobs, families, and everyday life.

This week, Blue Watch focused on Hazmat, pump operations, and driver safety training, with call outs in between to keep everyone on their toes. 👩🏽‍🚒

Black Watch Crew had an awesome day at Northcote Intermediate School on Saturday supporting an Amazing Race-style community event hosted by The Open Fort and funded through Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities
The day focused on emergency preparedness, community resilience and bringing families together through fun interactive challenges. The crew ran the Escape My House Challenge maze and loved seeing so many families getting involved while learning about home escape plans and fire safety
Safe to say… pack down may have been harder than the maze itself 😂

Thanks to everyone who came through and supported the day! ❤️🚒 🖤

While our (822) truck’s in for a service, we’ve scored this beauty, Relief Truck 404. Blue Watch has wasted no time putting her through her paces this week with pump ops, driver training, and already rolling out to call-outs during our rostered week. Temporary ride, same crew energy. 🚒💙

On this ANZAC Day, we acknowledge the legacy of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and all servicemen and women who have followed. Their strength, resilience, and mateship continue to inspire generations.

From all of us at the Brigade, we remember those who gave so much, and we thank those who continue to serve today.

Lest We Forget.

We have checked all important equipment in preparation for the cyclone. Generators are topped up, chain saws tuned, portable pump topped up and all batteries are fully loaded. If the cyclone hits we are ready to react and help.
QFF Richard also done some driver training in preparation for his driver course.
Stay safe everyone!

Blue Watch week recap 🚒

Kicked things off with scenario training: a solid house fire internal attack and search & rescue session. Wrapped up the Easter weekend with driving and pump operations training… and of course, it wouldn’t be a Blue Watch week without a mid-training callout to keep us on our toes.
