Welcome to the village, Zapan.

A new Japanese bakery and cafe has just opened on Victoria Road, bringing soft, delicate, beautifully crafted Japanese bread to Devonport. The name comes from pan, the Japanese word for bread, and also echoes zapan, the Japanese word for the sound of ocean waves. Pretty fitting for our seaside home.

This Saturday, we come together to honour those who served and sacrificed.

Join us for the Devonport ANZAC Day Commemoration — the parade assembles at 10.30am on 1 Fleet Street (next to New World Carpark), steps off at 10.45am along Victoria Road, and the service begins at 11am at the corner of Victoria Road and King Edward Parade.

All welcome. Lest we forget.
