Expressions of Interest are open for the Albert-Eden Local Board Event Partnership Fund.

Community organisations and event organisers are invited to apply for funding support for annual events to be delivered in the Albert-Eden local board area between October 2027 and June 2028.

The Event Partnership Fund is designed to support established and emerging annual events that contribute to vibrant, connected communities and provide positive outcomes for the Albert-Eden community.

If you are planning an annual community event and would like to explore funding support, we encourage you to submit an Expression of Interest.

Our upgraded Coyle Park playground is open – enjoy the last few days of the school holidays at Coyle 🌞

There’s lots of new equipment, shade sails, more bench space and we’ve retained the popular train.

Be sure to come to our community celebration at the playground on Saturday 17 October, 11am 🎉

Feedback is open for the future of Lions Corner/13-17 Raymond St in Point Chevalier.

The building is in poor condition, with a recent assessment recommending council demolishes the building. We’re now considering what should happen next and want your feedback before making any decisions

There are five options for the site, check them out and have your say on the next steps, there are also community drop-in sessions on 10 and 21 October.

A new placemaking initiative from the Auckland Urban Development Office builds on the excitement and investment at Maungawhau Station 🚆

The creative team who brought Silo Park to life will uplift the Maungawhau Station precinct with Make Space.

The first phase of Make Space includes a new weekly Sunday market, interactive public art and skate lessons for kids.

In summer, expect to see a new bike hub, and a park and picnic area to relax on, creating more welcoming places for people to meet, play, relax and connect ☀️

Make rainbows, learn to skate, shop at the city's newest Sunday market - all at Maungawhau Station precinct.

Auckland Council is reviewing its community grants policy to ensure funding continues to make a difference for communities and provides good value for money.

Around $25 million is distributed each year through regional and local grants, supporting community groups, events, arts, sports, environmental projects and more.

Community groups, grant recipients and those who have missed out are encouraged to share their experiences and ideas. Your feedback will help shape how community grants are delivered in the future.

Auckland Council is taking a fresh look at how it distributes grants to make sure funding continues to make a difference to Auckland’s communities while delivering value for money.
