Flat Bush Library: 10am-5pm

Every family has stories worth sharing.

Join University of Auckland Senior Lecturer Dr Naashia Mohamed for Stories We Live, a welcoming multilingual storytelling workshop at Rānui Library.

Together, we'll explore the stories that shape our lives, identities and sense of belonging. Drawing on your family's languages, cultures, memories and everyday experiences, we'll discover how these stories can become meaningful stories for children.

✨ No writing experience needed, just bring your imagination and the stories you carry with you!
👨‍👩‍👧 Children are welcome to attend with their caregivers
🥗 Lunch provided

Calling all teddy bear lovers!

Come along for a bear-y fun day filled with storytime, exciting family activities, a scavenger hunt, and lots of fun.
Don't forget to dress up in your favourite costume and bring along your favourite teddy bear or other cuddly stuffed friend.

✨ What a wonderful event! ✨

Our Japanese-language talk, "Parenting in New Zealand through Te Whāriki," welcomed 20 participants, including one very happy baby!

The session was highly interactive, with participants sharing their own experiences and insights rather than simply listening to a lecture.

A huge thank you to Professor Junko Sato and everyone who joined us. It was a truly inspiring afternoon at Rānui Library. 🌿
