Too often, the challenge isn't a lack of talent - it's a lack of connection between people, training, and opportunity.
For many Māori and Pasifika whānau, barriers such as transport, access to networks, confidence, and visibility of career pathways can make it difficult to take the next step into employment. At the same time, employers are looking for capable, work-ready people to join their teams.
TSI Māori and Pasifika Trades Training helps bridge that gap.
We bring together training providers, employers, and wrap-around support to create pathways into meaningful careers - supporting Māori and Pasifika learners to gain skills, build confidence, and transition into employment, while helping employers access and retain great talent.
When we get the system right, we're not just creating jobs. We're strengthening whānau, building workforce capability, and supporting a more inclusive economy for Auckland.
Last year, Programmed took on two of our graduates, Sio and Filipo. Within two months, both had secured permanent roles and continue to flourish in their careers today. Their stories are a powerful example of what can happen when the right support, training, and employment opportunities come together.
👉 If you're an employer interested in supporting the next generation of Māori and Pasifika talent, we'd love to hear from you.
