Every year, Forest & Bird invites people to vote for their favourite native bird. It's fun, but there's a real purpose behind it.

More than 80% of New Zealand's native birds are in some or serious trouble. Every vote helps shine a light on a bird, its habitat, and the people working to protect it.

This year, the birds have grouped themselves into six flocks, from ocean voyagers to quiet undergrowth dwellers.
