Yesterday, we bid a heartfelt farewell to two of our incredible Pegasus students: James and Emijoy. Both have been highly valued members of the Pakūranga College community, serving with pride and integrity as Whānau Leaders for Nīkau and Rimu during their time at the college.

As you head into your next chapter, we wish you nothing but success and joy. Haere rā and mā te wā.

Some of our Māori and Pasifika Year 9 students had the awesome opportunity to visit the University of Auckland for a Future Me event!

It was an inspiring day filled with hands-on workshops, new connections with students from across Tāmaki Makaurau, and plenty of chances to explore future study and career pathways. An amazing experience to help our ākonga start thinking about where their journey could lead after school!

Since the end of Term 3, a talented group of Year 9 and 10 performers have been working hard to bring the student production "The Dahlia Cabin" to life!

Written and directed by Sofia Tabolt Da Silva, produced by Cossar Salesa-Lee, choreographed by Elaine Ye, with lighting and sound design by Sebastian Johnson, it was an awesome culmination of Junior talent!

Featuring a range of modern Broadway hits, the story revolved around a group of anxious campers trying to escape their cabin during a storm, only to discover the strength that comes from opening up and supporting each other.

Not to mention, they sold out both performances. Chookas!

Riān, who placed 2nd in the world last year, will return to the junior division, while Raūl steps up to compete in the adults’ section. Best of luck to both of you, we’re cheering you on!
