Today, MBS was a sea of pink as we celebrate Pink Shirt Day 2026!
It has been wonderful to see our tamariki and kaiako dressing up to support this important cause. By wearing pink, we are making a collective stand against bullying and committing to making our school a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.

MBS Run Club continues to go from strength to strength! Over 70 runners this morning despite the temp remaining in the single digits - huge thanks to the amazing crew of parents and grandparents who support this group of enthusiastic runners 🏃🏽‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Year Four took a trip to Woolworths trip and it was so much fun! The students toured the back stockroom, bakery, and delivery area. They also practiced scanning items, discussed how shelves are stocked, and completed a scavenger hunt to find ingredients for their “meal for 4.” To top it off, we were lucky enough to enjoy some fruit, veggie chips, and garlic bread! It was a great opportunity to see various roles in action—from the manager and baker to the checkout operators and night-fillers. The students also did a wonderful job comparing "needs vs. wants" as they selected their ingredients. A big thanks to the parents who came along and helped today!

And they’re off! 🎒🚢

There was a massive buzz this morning as our Year 6 cohort headed off for their big adventure to Motutapu Island! 🏝️

From heavy backpacks to even bigger smiles, the energy was electric. Over the next few days, our students will be testing their limits, building team spirit, and exploring the incredible history and scenery of one of the Hauraki Gulf’s gems.

A huge thank you to the teachers, staff, and parent volunteers who make these life-changing experiences possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

Safe travels, Year 6! Make some epic memories. 🌊☀️

We are currently having a bit of a clear-out and have some excess chairs and tables looking for a new home. These are perfect for a home study setup, a playroom, or even a backyard DIY project!

Where: In the School Hall Foyer

When: Feel free to pop in and collect them at any point today or tomorrow.

Cost: Completely FREE!

Please note that these are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You'll just need to bring a vehicle large enough to transport them and be able to load them yourself.

Please feel free to tag anyone or share this post with local community groups who might find them useful.

These legends all took part and finished the 8.4km of Round the Bays today representing MBS! There were many others too who we couldn’t locate in time for the photos - you’re all amazing!!
Run Club will take place as usual on Thursday at 7.20 - walk or run we would love to see you 🙌🏼

Our FOMS disco, 'Let's Get Animated!' was a huge, sweaty success! Our resident DJ, Bronson, had everyone on the floor (including some parents who could not help themselves) and the kids had a blast. You guys rocked!
