The decision by the City Vision-controlled Albert-Eden Local Board to oppose having more concerts at Eden Park is a huge let down for the community.

Despite an overwhelming majority of local supporting more events at Eden Park, the Local Board has allowed ideology to triumph reason.

Unacceptable.

The venue is currently limited to six artists playing a total of 12 gigs a year.
