🎉 SIAOLA would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our very own CEO, Kathleen Tuai Ta'ufo'ou, on being appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours List for services to the Pacific community.

This prestigious recognition reflects Kathleen's unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and lifelong dedication to uplifting Pacific peoples and communities across Aotearoa New Zealand.

We are especially proud that this honour acknowledges the collective impact of the work achieved through SIAOLA, including our vital support for Pacific communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under Kathleen's leadership, SIAOLA has continued to champion health, wellbeing, equity, and empowerment for those we serve.

Kathleen's recognition is a testament not only to her personal contribution, but also to the power of collaboration, community partnership, and service that sits at the heart of everything we do.

SIAOLA was honoured to present at the PSA Pasefika Youth Auckland Regional Fono — bringing together Auckland-based Pacific youth aged 35 years and under to talanoa about career pathways, wellbeing, leadership, and financial resilience. 🌺

We shared about SIAOLA services and explored practical ways our Pacific communities can strengthen their financial wellbeing through budgeting using our GREI principles and other useful tools to help manage finances with confidence and purpose.

The Regional Fono highlighted the important connection between work, wellbeing, learning, and financial security, while empowering Pasefika staff to grow their voice, participation, and leadership within their workplaces and the PSA.

Fakamālō lahi to the PSA Pasefika Committee, the Youth Rep, and all the amazing participants who contributed to such a meaningful workshop and talanoa. 🙌🏽
