Waste day with our Enviroschool's co-ordinator Jane and Nick from the Environment Centre in Riverton. We learned how to layer up green and brown materials to build up a compost bin. We found out thst our waste bins are working where we separate into soft plastics, scrap food for worms or chickens, recycling or red bin. We have reduced our red bin rubbish a lot!

More fabulous Fungi!

Our inquiry this term is Fantastic Fungi. We went up Bluff hill to the Gunpit area on a Fungi hunt. There were lots of different types! There's lots of lichen and moss too. We are now going to identify each species.

Poppies for ANZAC day.

We had a visit this morning from Verdon School and an ex pupil of ours Zac Burt, who led us in prayers for the 3rd station of the Cross : Jesus falls the first time. Verdon students are going around all the catholic schools carrying a cross and reenacting Jesus' journey with the cross.
