Today was the first of our Te Ohu sessions for the year at Ngaa Hau e Whaa Marae.

Seventeen of our tamariki enjoyed a fun-filled day participating in waiata, hākinakina, raranga, and Te Reo Māori. Some students also had the opportunity to learn guitar.

It was a fantastic day of learning, connection, and whakawhanaungatanga. Here are some photos from the day.

⚠️ Please note: Te Miro remains an active mountain bike park, and this trail run is a special one-off event. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all park users, the official event course will be released two weeks before race day for those wanting to familiarise themselves with it. If visiting the park during this time, please remember to give way to mountain bikers and respect all park signage and trail etiquette.

Cambridge East School Spotlight!!!!

On Sunday, 24 May, our Year 4 netball team proudly represented Cambridge East School at the Morrinsville Junior Netball Festival, demonstrating their “Always My Best” attitude throughout an exciting day of competition.

It was a long but rewarding day, filled with great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm.

Congratulations to all of our players for their outstanding effort, perseverance, and sportsmanship — we are so proud of you all!

FundRays, a new fundraising platform designed to make school fundraising easier, more organised, and more accessible for our community.

FundRays will help us keep families up to date with PTA fundraising activities, campaigns, orders, and other opportunities to support the school — all in one place.

FundRays is also a locally run business operated by a Cambridge East family, and we’re proud to support a platform created within our own school community.

Our next Pizza Lunch, happening on Friday 5 June, will be run through FundRays, so this is a great time to jump in and get familiar with the platform.
