A massive congratulations to our phenomenal CMS literary scholars who delivered a legendary performance at the regional Book Battle on Friday, August 28th:

Aashi D, Magnus F, Isla L, Ruby M, Cailyn M, India R, Mirela S, and Caitlyn T.

Demonstrating extraordinary dedication, these students spent weeks mastering an extensive reading list while drawing on deep, lifetime literary knowledge. Competing in teams of four across 10 intense, fast-paced rounds against a massive field of rival schools, our students showcased incredible teamwork, recall, and intellect under pressure.

In a historic moment, the Cambridge Middle School Blue Team claimed 1st Place overall! This marks the very first time CMS has captured the championship title, officially etching our school's name onto the winner's trophy. Congratulations to Magnus, Isla, India, and Caitlyn πŸ†

NEW DATE: Saturday 12 September, from 6.00pm

After a few hugely successful events over the past three years, they're doing it all again and lighting up parts of the Te Awa River Ride from the Gaslight Theatre in Cambridge after dark!

Grab your family, kids and friends and get out after dark and enjoy a short walk or bike ride along Te Awa and experience the trail in a totally different way.

🀩 Completely free for everyone, there’ll be food trucks, facepainting, entertainment and live music...

πŸ’™ Wednesday 02 September: Cambridge East, Karapiro & Roto-O-Rangi
πŸ’™ Thursday 03 September: Goodwood and Leamington
πŸ’™ Times for both days: 10.30am - 12.00pm.
❗️ Students from other non-contributing schools are welcome on either day
❗Cambridge Primary will be attending a separate orientation morning on Monday 07 September.

This is an opportunity for Year 6 students to spend some time orienting themselves at CMS. The orientation will begin in the hall with students arriving there by 10.30am. Students should wear their normal school clothes.

Teachers (& Parents from non-contributing schools) are welcome to come to the staffroom or head off site during the Orientation time.

Students will spend time doing a school tour and participating in class/activities with CMS students and getting a feel for the school environment. They will then have a short 'brain break' from 11.40am-11.50am with the rest of our school.

🌟 OUT-OF-ZONE ENROLMENTS FOR 2026 SCHOOL YEAR 🌟

Due to continued growth, Cambridge Middle School implemented an Enrolment Zone from the beginning of the 2021 school year.

The Board invites applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Cambridge Middle School next year in Years 7/8/9/10. If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot.
