Project Drawdown has developed a table of solutions for reducing our CO2 emissions - I'm a geek for maps so I love the efficient ocean shipping link, which details the ways we can lower our emissions during transportation.

How to make one of the biggest impacts? Eating a locally sourced, plant based diet!

Table of Solutions Here, we present the individual solutions reviewed and assessed by Project Drawdown, including their relevant sector(s) and their impact on reducing heat-trapping gases. This list is extensive but not exhaustive, and we continue to add to it as a living project. Project Drawdown u...

The Public Service Association is launching a climate campaign focused around the upcoming local elections.

Let’s make sure our local candidates know how important climate action is for the people of Lyttelton!

But Auckland mayoral candidate Viv Beck says having more reliable transport should be prioritised.

Better Ancestors Film screening - WEA Chch.

https://www.betterancestors.org

This Friday 17 June from 7.30-9pm 350 Christchurch Warren Begley, the producer of the Better Ancestor series of short films, will introduce us to a curated selection of 5 of the films (all less than 10 minutes) that were released weekly last year.

The first three are to do with fresh water ecosystems and the impact of industrial farming and nitrates.
After a break for discussion these will be followed by two that are specific to CO2 in the atmosphere.
The land use change driven by policy settings (like the Forestry settings (ETS) and agricultural emissions mitigation strategies) that are playing out right now will have the most significant impact upon Aotearoa NZ’s ecological footprint for centuries to come.

Each short film communicates aspects of the story of our agriculture, natural environment and links to climate. There will be time for sharing, learning and discussion. Join us for a drink and bite to eat after the meeting.

Koha appreciated.

You are very welcome to send this onto anyone you know who may also be interested.

Regards
