A Personal Prayer
Lord God,
I come to You tired, confused, and hurting.
My heart feels heavy, and my thoughts feel tangled.
I love deeply, yet I am afraid.
I believe in You, yet right now I feel weak.
Lord, You see the pain I cannot explain to anyone else.
You know how hard it is to love someone
while fearing that my faith might be shaken.
You know how lonely it feels to carry this quietly.
Please forgive me if my faith feels small today.
I am not walking away from You—
I am reaching for You through my tears.
God, give me strength when I feel like I’m breaking.
Give me peace when my mind keeps asking questions.
Hold my heart steady when love and fear pull me in opposite directions.
If I must wait, teach me patience.
If I must let go, give me courage.
If I must stay, give me wisdom.
But above all, Lord, please stay with me.
Remind me that You are not angry with me for struggling.
Remind me that You are close to the brokenhearted.
When I don’t know what the future holds,
help me trust the One who holds my future.
Tonight, I place my heart, my relationship, my faith,
and my tears into Your hands.
I cannot carry them alone anymore.
Lord God, lift me when I cannot lift myself.
Speak to me in ways my heart can understand.
And even if nothing changes right away,
let me feel Your presence and Your love.
Amen.
