I know everyone is asking, what is happening with the cameras? Well, its all a bit tricky. There has been a fault in the main power cable powering the location where the internet and cameras are located. At this stage that is all outside of our control, although I am assured that it is being worked on, it is no small job. We have no ETA, and we will need to set up new more formalised agreements around what hosting the cameras looks like going forward once power is restored.
Taylors Surf cameras have always been a labour of love - from Errol Hunter first having the vision and setting up the first camera many many years ago, to adding live streaming video, through to the more recent additions facing the south to give wider angles of the bay and views for the local paragliding club up the hill. In order to save costs during this prolonged outage we have put the setup on ice until we know more and can get access to make a more permanent setup happen. Until then, all we can say is watch this space sorry!
