SVS COVID-19 update - Tuesday 24 March 2020

Kia ora koutou
Keeping our staff, clients and their whānau safe and well continues to be our focus as we move forward in this rapidly changing environment.
We continue to follow advice from Government, who announced yesterday that we as a nation are at alert level 3 and moving to alert level 4 as of midnight Wednesday
https://covid19.govt.nz/government-a…/covid-19-alert-system/

SVS and Enabling Youth staff will be working from home as of today and our offices are now closed.
This includes all sites: 36 Lismore St and 164 Woodham Rd in Christchurch, Wellbeing in Rangiora and Community Houses in Ashburton and Timaru.

Our Emergency House remains open at this stage.

What does this mean for you?
You can still contact us by phone and email.
Your assessment / appointments are still booked and we will be giving you a call, so keep your phone charged and close by.
Your clinician will talk to you about the easiest way for you to continue your programme, whether by phone, Skype, Zoom https://zoom.us/signup or some other format.
Groups will obviously no longer be meeting, and your facilitator will be in touch to discuss how you would like to complete your programme.
You can still self refer by calling us on 0800 478 778.

We are still here for you, just not face to face in the same room!

Be sure to stay in touch as we all get used to a new way of working together.
Stay up to date with the information from government and keep yourselves and your whānau safe.

Simple anger management tip - Take time out.

Timeouts aren't just for kids. Give yourself short breaks during times of the day that tend to be stressful. A few moments of quiet time might help you feel better prepared to handle what's ahead without getting irritated or angry.
