Ngā mihi o te Kirihimete me te Tau Hau,

As the holiday season is upon us, We find ourselves reflecting on the year that has passed and feeling grateful for the many blessings we've experienced. I hope this email finds you in good health and high spirits.

Christmas is a time for joy, love, and togetherness, and we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt wishes to you and your loved ones. May this festive season bring you warmth, happiness, and an abundance of cherished moments with those you hold dear.

This year has certainly presented its share of challenges, but through it all, we have found strength, resilience, and a renewed appreciation for the things that truly matter. Whether it's the simple joys of spending time with family, the laughter shared with friends, or the warmth of a cozy fireplace, may these moments be the ones that light up your holiday season.

As we celebrate Christmas, let's not forget the spirit of giving and kindness. May our hearts be open to spreading love and generosity to those around us, especially to those who may be facing difficult times. It's in these acts of kindness that the true magic of Christmas shines brightest.

Looking back on the year, We are grateful for the memories we've created, the lessons we've learned, and the growth we've experienced. I am excited about the possibilities that the new year holds and the opportunities for continued growth, happiness, and success.

During this special time, we want to express our gratitude for your presence within our Incorporation. Your friendship, and support have enriched our days in the office, and we am truly fortunate to have you as a part of our journey.

May your Christmas be filled with love, peace, and joy. May the coming year bring you new adventures, exciting opportunities, and the fulfillment of your dreams. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Nga Mihi Nui,

The Te Ahi Kaa Team
Erica, Diane and Marianne

Update at 10pm✔️ The Tsunami threat to NZ has passed. Be sure to read our most recent post 🔝for all the details. Stay safe and thanks for all the work everyone did to share and get out this important message 👍

🚨IMPORTANT MESSAGE🚨 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST
NATIONAL ADVISORY: TSUNAMI ACTIVITY – EXPECT STRONG AND UNUSUAL CURRENTS AND UNPREDICTABLE SURGES AT THE SHORE
We expect New Zealand coastal areas to experience strong and unusual currents and unpredictable surges at the shore following a magnitude 7.7 earthquake SOUTHEAST OF LOYALTY ISLANDS at 2023-05-19 3:57 PM.

Strong currents and surges can injure and drown people. There is a danger to swimmers, surfers, people fishing, and anyone in or near the water close to shore.
People in or near the sea in the following areas should move out of the water, off beaches and shore areas and away from harbours, marinas, rivers and estuaries.

AREAS UNDER THREAT:The West Coast of the North Island from CAPE REINGA to WHANGANUI including the West Coast of Auckland, Manukau Harbour and New Plymouth.

ADVICE FOR PEOPLE IN AREAS UNDER THREAT:
STAY OFF THE BEACHES AND SHORE AREAS
People on boats, liveboards and at marinas should leave their boats/vessels and move onto shore. Do not return to boats unless instructed by officials.

There is no need to evacuate other areas unless directly advised by local civil defence authorities. Coastal inundation (flooding of land areas near the shore) is not expected as a result of this event. We are advising people to:
• Move out of the water, off beaches and shore areas and away from harbours, marinas, rivers and estuaries.
• Do not go to the coast to watch the unusual wave activity as there may be dangerous and unpredictable surges.
• Listen to local civil defence authorities and follow any instructions.
• Share this information with family, neighbours and friends.

The first tsunami activity causing these strong currents and surges may reach New Zealand in the areas North Cape at approximately 5:00 pm 19 May 2023 New Zealand Standard Time and 5:45pm Chatham Islands Standard Time.
This may be later and the first tsunami activity may not be the most significant.
Strong and unusual currents and unpredictable surges will continue for several hours and the threat must be regarded as real until this Advisory is cancelled.

This National Advisory has been issued following an assessment of information available. The situation may change as new information becomes available. Listen to the radio or TV for updates, or check www.civildefence.govt.nz
