We had a fantastic start to our little reopening on Saturday. Don't forget we open Thursday and Saturday mornings 9.30am to 11.00am. Our phone is out of action for the short term so FB messager or pop down during opening hours is best.

Ahead of tomorrows 9.30am reopening green indicates off street and also parking on Erris St encouraged. No vehicle access in front of rooms for safety of everyone. We look forward to seeing you!

Cromwell Toy Library is ready to open the doors to the next generation of hirers at 9.30am SATURDAY 21st September at the Old Cromwell campus of Otago Polytechnic with parking encouraged on Erris Street. For everyone's safety there is NO vehicle access in front of our rooms. We can't wait to see you!!!

And just like that the sunrises on the Cromwell Toy Library rooms for now but without its usual supply of bright, colourful, educational, landfill reducing and imagination inducing toys. Toy Library has been in these old Plunket Rooms for approximately 21 years that we can find record of. Sad to have to leave and hopeful for a new permanent home so we can continue servicing the families and grandparents of our Community. Watch this space for any updates.

Saturday 30th April is the final day for Cromwell Toy Library at the Memorial Hall. All hires must be returned. Thank you to the members for your support through the years and we hope this is only hibernation for our facility as we try to find new premises. Watch this space for updates!

PUBLIC NOTICE:
For the last 10 years (if not a little longer) the future of the Cromwell Memorial Hall has been hanging over the Committee of the Cromwell Toy Library. The Community Board/CODC have now finalised its path and as of 30th April 2022 the Hall will be closed to the public in preparation for its demolition.

The Committee have been trying to touch base with different properties searching for a new home but are currently coming up blank as the final month approaches. We would love some fresh Committee faces keen to drive the Toy Library forward/take the reigns for this project or for any new ideas/community connections so we may continue to operate for our young families.

The final option for our Toy Library is to temporarily close until something suitable can be found. If this is the only option left for us we will have final toys available for hire in Easter weekend April 16th only and thereafter open only for returns up to 30th April.
