I needed a few days before I wrote this...

Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!

What an incredible journey Amuri Learn 2 swim has been for me and my family.

Thank you to Craig, Hunter and Madi for putting up with the madness that came with starting a business. The times that I was grumpy, stressed and when I missed your sports and school events, you put up with alot but your support was unwavering xx

Our families for helping with everything right from the start. Every bit of support, encouragement and belief was greatly appreciated.

There were many late and sleepless nights, with the dread that our idea/plan wasn't going to work and that I would need an extra job to keep the pool doors open.

But....

You all came. Each term we have had over 200 children through our doors per week, and I can not Thank you all enough for the time and travel you all put in to bring your children to me.

It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know you all and watching your children gain confidence in the water has been a privilege that I am so grateful for.

Thank you all for the beautiful gifts over our last week. I have been very spoilt.
And to those that organized my surprise party, what a kind amazing surprise it was, I had absolutely no idea and was completely overwhelmed that it was for me!
Thank you to the families that came, the messages from those who couldn't make it and for those that helped with the platters.

We do hope someone will come in and continue what we started and we will keep everyone updated.

So, Thank you to each and every one of you that have stepped through our doors. It has been an incredible time and I can't wait to see you all out and about on dry land.

And its began....our Last days!

Today is our final FRIDAY with Thursday 2nd April 2026 being our last ever day as Amuri Learn 2 Swim.

Yesterday due to a family situation I had to cancel the afternoon sessions and I can't thank everyone enough for your understanding, especially with this being our final week.

Not ideal for our Final Friday, but please be aware we will have no water at the pool on FRIDAY 27TH 2026.
Please try and toilet children before they arrive and bring full drink bottles if needed.

Please bring water bottles and try and get children to toilet before you arrive.

We have just had notice we will not have water from 9.30am till 12pm.
Showers etc will NOT be available

We have just been advised we will have no water from 12pm till 3.30pm so please full water bottles and use toilet if possible before you arrive at the pool.

Just a quick reminder for those who travel this way. Please just yell out if you won't make your lesson. We understand it is going to add extra time to your trip

Leader Road East and West – Temporary road closure

From Monday 9 March to Thursday 12 March, 7.30am-6.00pm (approximately), while Council undertakes pavement repairs and tree works to make the road safer for users.
The road will be open during nights.

Roadworks will still be happening under traffic lights on Friday 13 March.

Red line on map illustrates closed section of road.

The closure will be approximately nine kilometres up Leader Road West through to the Mendip Road intersection on Leader Road East.
The road will be closed to all traffic, excluding residents and emergency services.

Suggested alternative routes during week of closure:
Northbound – via Inland Road.
Southbound – via Scargill Valley.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential works are completed.

Tomorrow is Hurunui Swimming sports and I know alot of you are involved. Please just let me know if you won't be making your lesson and I can rearrange if need be.

Lots of bugs are around. Please keep children home if sick.
And remember warm gear for after the pool.
