The Grey District Council has issued a boil water notice for the greater Greymouth Area. Please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school on Monday as the notice will be in effect until at least then.

🏆Year 7 and 8 students across the Grey District have the chance to become Mayor for a Day.

The Grey District Council today announced the new competition.

The winner will spend a day with Mayor Tania Gibson in early October.

They will visit the new Greymouth Library and Westland Recreation Centre, judge a competition, and experience a day in leadership.

A pizza party will also be held for the winner's class.

Students can enter online by answering two questions: What do you love most about the Grey District? and If you were Mayor for a day, what would you do?

Entries close at 5pm on Friday, 10 September 2026, and the winner will be selected by 22 September 2026.

This will affect our Dobson site bus run. Please be aware the bus could be running late for drop off and pick ups. Also ensure your child is ready and waiting for the bus so there are no further hold ups.

SH7 STILLWATER TO GREYMOUTH – STORM DAMAGE

Plan ahead for daytime STOP/GOs at sites between Stillwater and Greymouth starting Monday 3 to Friday 7 August, 8:30am to 4pm each day to allow contractors to clear damage from the recent storm.

DELAYS of up to 10 minutes should be expected.

This work depends on various factors and may be amended or rescheduled; an update will be provided in the comment section. ^JP
