At Able Minds, we know recovery is about more than overcoming challenges—it’s about helping people discover their strengths, build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and create a life filled with purpose.
We’re looking for a passionate Activity Centre & Recovery Lead to lead our Dunedin Activity Centre and inspire people on their recovery journey.

In this role you’ll:
🤝 Lead a supportive Activity Centre team
🌱 Facilitate engaging wellbeing and recovery programmes
🎨 Plan creative activities, outings and life skills programmes
💬 Build meaningful relationships with tangata whaiora, whānau and community partners
💙 Make a genuine difference in people’s lives every single day

Are you passionate about supporting people and whānau through life’s toughest moments? Able Minds is looking for 3 Whānau Support Workers to join our team in Oamaru, Alexandra & Queenstown Lakes 🌟 — helping families impacted by mental distress, addiction, and grief.

👥 **About the Role:**
✨ Provide one-to-one emotional support and practical advocacy for whānau
✨ Help families navigate mental health and addiction systems with confidence
✨ Connect people with peer support and community resources
✨ Support all ages — tamariki, rangatahi & adults
✨ Build strong local networks and work with community providers

📍 Locations:
• Oamaru
• Alexandra
• Queenstown / Central Otago
(30–37.5 hours per week, community-based with travel locally) 💼

💪 We’re Looking For:
✔️ Compassionate, motivated people ready to make a difference
✔️ Great interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
✔️ A driver’s licence (clean and current)
✔️ Experience/qualification in mental health or social services valued
✔️ A commitment to supporting wellbeing and community resilience
