The Makino is home to heated indoor 25m and learners pools that operate year round. In the summer months (December - March) the Makino opens its heated outdoor 50m, learners, and dive pool. Plus there's
a fresh water toddlers splash pool. Enrol your children in lessons with the Makino Swim School - We have lessons available for all ages. We start babies classes from 6 months and even do one-on-one classes with adults. So it's never to late to learn to swim! Plus there's Water Walking (a completely bounce free class for those who may be in recovery or need less impact on their joints). Host your child's Birthday Party at the Makino. We have a range of options- a party area right next to the pool, a meeting room with tea/coffee facilities, or exclusive use of our Learn to Swim pool! Canoe Polo is a super competitive sport. Come on down on a Friday night during school terms from 6:00pm for a game. Inflatable Weekends - throughout the winter season the Makino puts an inflatable up on the water every weekend from 11.30am - 1.30pm, no extra charge for using the inflatables! We can cater to any groups needs, kayaking sessions, rafting, water safety, etc. Come on in and pay us a visit!
