🌼 A massive THANK YOU to our wonderful Ormond School community! 🌼

Our students and staff looked bright and sunny today dressed in their best yellow, all in support of Daffodil Day!

Thanks to your amazing generosity, our gold coin donations will go directly to supporting the Cancer Society and the vital work they do for individuals and families in our community.

Inter School Cross Country Success!
A huge congratulations to all our students who competed in the Inter-School Cross Country at the Showgrounds yesterday! Facing tough competition from across the region, our runners gave it everything they had and showed incredible grit.
Out of 21 schools competing, Ormond School finished 8th overall—an absolutely amazing achievement!
A special shoutout goes to Jake Scott, who delivered an incredible performance to take 1st place in the Year 3 Boys race!
Awesome effort to everyone who represented our school so well. We are super proud of you!

INQUIRY CELEBRATION : POSTPONED
With the amount of illness and number of students absent from school over the past few weeks (meaning they have not been able to practice / prepare) - we are postponing our Inquiry celebration scheduled for tomorrow until NEXT Tuesday (25th of August). We were so excited and super lucky to have Commonwealth Games Judo Gold medallist🥇and local Gisborne legend, Sydnee Andrews, visit us at Ormond School yesterday.

It was a privilege to meet you Sydnee and hear about your sporting journey and your success representing Aotearoa New Zealand in the Commonwealth and Olympic Games. You are such an inspiration for our tamariki! Thanks for showing Ormond School that dreams can come true when you put in the mahi! Bring on the Olympic Games in 2028! 🖤
