Kia hiwa rā! Kia hiwa rā!

Our beautiful, sacred Waitakere Ranges or Te Wao Nui a Tiriwa, is under serious threat. It will take more than one person, one party to protect it from this one-term government bulldozing its way through this sacred region to make a buck. It’s going to take all of us.

Please join your MP Oriini Kaipara and Green MP Steve Abel, along with some of our local West Auckland leaders for an open and informative kōrero on key legislative changes and what you and your whānau can do to Tiakina Te Wao - Protect the Ranges.

Kia ora e te whānau,

Auckland council have planned to do tar sealing; road works are scheduled to take place this Thursday and Friday running overnight from 6:00pm to 6:00am.

The mahi will begin at the Marae end of the road and work their way toward the Waterhole Swimming School.

The first stage is expected to take approximately two nights, with asphalting to be done on Monday night next week also between 6:00pm-6:00am, weather permitting.

Please take extra care when driving through, as some parts of the road may be uneven while the work is underway.

This is an incredible opportunity for rangatahi Māori aged 18–26 looking to break into the performing arts sector. Te Pou Theatre is excited to announce that applications for the AKO – Pia Pilot Program are now OPEN!

We are looking for six motivated rangatahi to join our whānau in Tāmaki Makaurau.

This is a unique "earn while you learn" initiative, providing cultural grounding in a Kaupapa Māori environment alongside high-level technical and creative training.
