We offer injury rehabilitation, Rongoā Māori, cancer support, and kaitiakitanga to help people restore balance and strengthen their mauri.

Last week we brought our rongoā wānanga to the University of Waikato Pā. It was a privilege to share some of the traditional healing practices offered here at ĀKI, including mirimiri and oro mauri. Tauira joined in receiving mirimiri, and creating sound with taonga pūoro.

✨ We’re excited to offer 4 fully funded rongoā sessions exclusively for UoW students.

Representatives from ĀKI Rongoā had the opportunity to attend the launch of Te Rau Ora’s new application - Ao Maarama. This awesome new app is aimed at supporting people with their hauora.

Ka nui te mihi ki a koe, Krystal! 🌿 A huge congratulations to Krystal King as she steps into her new role as Team Leader with Te Ahi Kaa – Haerenga Motuhake.

While we will miss her at ĀKI, we celebrate this next chapter as she returns to her kāinga whenua. Our team is grateful for Krystal's mahi, aroha and all she has brought to our kaupapa. We’re also excited for the journey ahead and the opportunity to continue working alongside Te Ahi Kaa—a space of connection, growth, and mana-enhancing mahi. ✨
