πŸŽ‰ Hamilton Gardens is a finalist in the Tourism Industry Aotearoa New Zealand Tourism Awards!

We're thrilled to be named a finalist in the ServiceIQ Tourism Excellence Award (Small-Medium Business) category. With a record 177 entries received this year, we're honoured to be recognised for the evolution of Hamilton Gardens and the positive impact it continues to have on both our community and visitors from around New Zealand and beyond.

In their feedback, the judges praised the "brave" transformation of Hamilton Gardens, highlighting our journey from a public space to a sustainable visitor destination. They recognised our positive tourism and community impact, strong community relationships, and thoughtful approach to sustainability, systems, and long-term success.

We're incredibly proud of this achievement, it reflects the collective effort that goes into Hamilton Gardens every day, the passion of our team, the unwavering support of the community and the vision that continues to guide Hamilton Gardens forward.

We couldn't have achieved this without the people who have championed, visited, supported, and helped shape Hamilton Gardens along the way. Together, we've created something truly special: a place of discovery, connection, and wonder for locals and visitors alike. Thank you for being part of our story. πŸ’š

We're looking forward to joining tourism operators from across Aotearoa in Christchurch on 4 November for the awards ceremony. Wish us luck! 🌿✨

What happens when art and gardens come together?🌿🎨
New Zealand artist Flox worked with the Hamilton Gardens team to create a bespoke artwork inspired by the stories, cultures and plants represented throughout our Enclosed Gardens.

Featuring six botanicals and the iconic Hamilton Gardens quadrant, the design celebrates the diversity and beauty that make Hamilton Gardens so unique.

Next time you're visiting, keep an eye out for the mural and don't forget to stop by the Hamilton Gardens Shop, where you'll find an exclusive range featuring this vibrant artwork. 🌸

✨ A little piece of Italy, with a touch of Hamilton history.
The Piazza is inspired by an Italian Rotonda - a central gathering space designed for people to meet and relax. The bricks used in its paving and arches were recycled from Hamilton's former Embassy and Regent Theatres, giving new life to a piece of the city's history. πŸ›οΈ

Not a bad morning's work!
This morning our team gathered together to plant a mix of Ake Ake, Dwarf Flax, Maanuka, Kaanuka, Titoki and Cabbage Trees along one of the main entry routes into Hamilton Gardens in record time. To quick to get any action shots!

Right now they might look small, but give them a few years to settle in and this roadside corridor will be transformed into a lush native landscape, creating a beautiful welcome for everyone arriving at the Gardens.

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in for Arbor Day. πŸŒΏπŸ’š
