Wednesday mornings just got better! 📢 We’re excited to announce TWO new aqua classes to our timetable which will both be run by Lance Bridges.

8.00am - Aquarobics Shallow Water | Learners Pool
9.00am - Aqua Fit | 50m Pool

📆 The first session be Wednesday 24 June

A big thanks to our aquarobics community for always keeping the energy high and these classes pumping. And to our programme parters Midlands Funds Management Limited

Classes are included in all Aquatic Memberships and Gym+Swim Memberships or $11.50 per class.

If you haven't tried a class yet, now’s your chance! 🏊‍♂️💙

Please allow extra time for parking.
We encourage use of the car park at the city end of the Hawke's Bay Regional Aquatic Centre if you are able to walk easily, leaving the car parks by the Gym for members, patients or public that require close proximity for parking.

Congratulations to Monty, our Swimmer of the Month for May!

Monty has consistently shown fantastic attendance, dedication, and commitment to his swimming. He arrives at every lesson with a smile on his face, a positive attitude, and is always eager to learn and improve his skills. 👍

Monty has made incredible progress in the pool, recently moving from the small pool into our Mini Squad programme and now progressing into the Performance level. His hard work, determination, and willingness to challenge himself have not gone unnoticed by our instructors and coaches.

We are extremely proud of everything Monty has achieved and look forward to watching his swimming journey continue. Well done, Monty! ⭐️🏊‍♂

But there is no trouble if you head along for a Click & Collect at Pak'nSave on Heretaunga Street, Hastings. In and out quicker than you can do a couple of lengths!! Get in there and support the team who support us...

Here's a special one to celebrate... have a read below, and if you were looking for inspiration, look no further. This is what our community is all about.... no better example!!!

A year ago, Sheila couldn't swim a length. This June, she's swimming 10 kilometres.

Ingrid, Heather and Sheila, also known as “The Backstroke Ladies” (nicknamed by our lifeguards). Ages 71, 72, and 77. A combined age of 220 years 💙

Ingrid first came to the pool with her late husband, who lived with Alzheimer's.

Heather came for rehabilitation.

Sheila came for the coffee afterwards, and because her friend convinced her to try. A long way from not wanting to get her hair wet.

One year later, they're swimming 40 lengths a session. And this June, all three have signed up for Coastguard New Zealand, aiming to swim 10 kilometres each across the month.

They only swim backstroke. They meet at the café after every session. And they don't let each other skip.

When Keith Bone got the email, he thought it was a scam.
