For some of us who didn't grow up with money because we didn't have a lot of the things we wished we did as children such as fancy toys, attend expensive private schools, designer clothes, shoes etc we tend to want those things for our children. If we can afford them why not but if we are struggling financially the regular things are more than enough as long as they have the basics 1. are healthy, 2. happy, 3. safe, 4. enough to eat, 5.attend school, 6. have good friends and are loved and cared for they are off to a great start. Some children can make their own opportunities others will need a helping hand but we don't have to break our backs or accounts to furnish them with things that they may enjoy but not necessarily need. What children need apart from love and protection are a good foundation. Learning how to appreciate what they have without a sense of entitlement. Give them good principles and morals that would guide them towards maturity and a sense of responsibility. Teach them respect, value of life, family and friendship. These do not cost you anything but they can reap wonderous benefits for your child/children as they can grow into well rounded adults and decent human beings who will undoubtedly contribute positively to their families, communities and countries. Many a time I have found myself in some tough spots and I don't always get out scar free. Certain events have left me bruised and battered (especially my ego) and on occasion I have had admit defeat, retreat and re-strategize but for all the scrapes I have been in I know that I couldn't have made it out without my God's help. The help would be via a friend or family member but it was always there when I needed it. That's how I know that through thick or thin my God has my back. I have learned many lessons over the years about my deficiencies and weaknesses. I have since learned to make better choices and become stronger but I know come what may even if the whole world left me my Jesus will always be with me. Most people have them useful instruments but are you aware of just how powerful they are. The Bible also makes mention of the tongue here are a few examples: Proverbs 12:18. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Proverbs 18:21. A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
James 3:6-7 Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

When you give, give with your whole heart. Don't do partial or with expectation of anything in return. Give because you want to, because it feels good not because it is expected. When you give something from the goodness of your heart don't go regretting that you did. Don't second guess why you gave. When you give whole heartedly and in a a genuine spirit it will be received with gratitude no matter how big or small the gift. It may be something expensive or a free meal whatever it is that you can GIVE. In doing so you are helping to spread kindness and love. Today the world is a little harder, rougher for some that little bit of love and kindness can go a long long way. So when you can, if you can however and whatever you can GIVE. Don't be surprised if you get blessed in return because what comes goes around comes around. The happiness that you give away can indeed return to shine on you!

What holds us back from achieving our full potential? Is it resources, the right opportunity, the needed sponsors or valid confirmation? Do we hold ourselves back because we are afraid of fa failure or rejection or getting the doors slammed in our faces? Some time because we do not want to feel inadequate, we don't want to be told no that we are afraid to even try. It is never easy to fail but it is by failing that we can learn how to do better, what to avoid next time how to get over and across those difficult steps. The only thing that is worse than failure is failing to get back up again. You fall 5 times you get up six, you have the door closed get in through the window (not literally my friend :) ) BUT never count yourself out. You can never compete if you are not in the running. You will never know if you can make it if you don't try and you will never get there if you don't start. So get u! dust yourself off and get ready to do it all over again because one day you will look back at your journey and you will thank God for all the curves, the bumps and the drops because each one contributed to the strong amazing person you are destined to be. Have a great week and remember you deserve great things in life so don't give up without trying

What are some of the things we are most afraid of in this life?
Losing our jobs or livelihood
Losing loved ones (family, friends, colleagues) to death or illnesses
Losing our homes or other important opportunities.
Some of us are afraid of getting hurt, betrayed, rejected or discarded.
Others are afraid of not being good enough, smart enough or pretty enough.
Some battle with weight, drug, alcohol or gambling addictions
Then there are those who are afraid of living and pondering su***de.
So many reasons to give up and equally just as many to keep on fighting. So if you are unable to see your way through. Just as long as you are able to see your next step just take it. One foot in front of the other keep walking one day you will no longer be afraid. It will not happen over night but believe that it will. Just take it one day at a time one breath after another and you will see things through. Trust in your spirit to live. Have faith in God things can turn out better than you hoped
