🔥 Congratulations Liam Bamforth aka Stretch! 🔥

A massive congratulations to Liam Bamforth aka Stretch on successfully completing and passing his Qualified Firefighter (QFF) course! 👨‍🚒🚒

The QFF course is a big step in a firefighter’s journey, covering a wide range of skills and knowledge needed to operate safely and effectively at emergency incidents. It involves plenty of hard work, study, practical training and assessments, covering areas such as fire behaviour, breathing apparatus, pumps and water supplies, ladders, hose work, search and rescue, communications and working safely as part of a crew.

He has put in the time, effort and commitment to get through the course, and that hard work has paid off! 💪🔥

From everyone at Hikurangi Volunteer Fire Brigade, congratulations on this awesome achievement. We’re proud to have you as part of our brigade and look forward to seeing you continue to grow and develop as a Qualified Firefighter.

A fantastic weekend representing Hikurangi at the Sub Association Darts Tournament in Kohukohu.

Congratulations to the Hikurangi team for an outstanding effort, finishing 2nd in the Teams event against some very strong competition.

A special mention to Jerram, who delivered an excellent performance to finish Runner-up in the Men's Singles.

Well done to everyone who represented Hikurangi with pride, passion, and great sportsmanship—an achievement the whole brigade can be proud of!

Brigade Training Notice

Just a heads up to the community that we'll be carrying out brigade training on the main street tonight.

You may notice fire appliances and firefighters in the area, but there is no emergency and nothing is wrong. This is a planned training exercise to help keep our skills sharp.
