We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Comrie Jones.
Comrie was a much-loved member of the Huntly Aquatic Centre community. Many of our staff and customers will remember seeing him enjoying our Aqua Aerobics classes and spending time at the pool with his family. His friendly nature and familiar smile will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Comrie's family, friends, carers, and extended whΔnau during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Comrie. π
JONES, Comrie Frank. Passed away suddenly at home in his sleep on Saturday, 29 August 2026, aged 27, from an unknown cause.
He was the beloved son to Scott and Kelly and baby brother of Wiremu, Shelley and Aleena Jones. Cherished by his carers Oliver, Kashyap, Harsh, William and Gail as well as his friends at 41 Esplanade.
Comrie was mentally disabled and his needs were quite high. He had just lost his mother, Kelly and didn't fully understand but in his own way understood she was gone. His father Scott, was his best friend and very caring and devoted to him. His sister Shelley treated him like he was a normal baby brother.
Comrie was a very sweet innocent person who didn't have the ability to be hateful. His death was sudden and unexpected and he was taken from his family and extended whanau who will grieve the loss of his innocent life.
A Service for Comrie will be held at the Chapel of Memories, 32 William Street, Huntly on Wednesday, 2 September 2026 at 11:00am, to be followed by burial at the Taupiri Cemetery, Taupiri.
