Re:Woven Therapy Charitable Trust was incredibly honoured to be nominated as a Community Catalyst through Community Trust South at the Arts Murihiku Awards. 💛

And to make the evening even more special, our director Ingrid Campbell has also been nominated for Leadership in the Arts through Invercargill City Council!!!

These nominations are such a beautiful acknowledgement of the mahi, heart and collective energy that goes into Re:Woven…but more than anything, they remind us of the incredible community that makes this work possible.

To every person who has walked through our doors, shared their stories, trusted us, supported our kaupapa, volunteered, collaborated, donated, referred someone, attended a workshop, or simply believed in what we are doing THANK YOU!!!

Re:Woven exists because we believe healing, creativity, connection and community belong to everyone.

We are feeling incredibly grateful, humbled and proud to be part of the beautiful creative and healing community of Murihiku!

🌈 Looking for a gentle place to connect? Rainbow Chats is here.

Join us on Tuesdays during school term, from 5–7 pm, in the Back Garage Space at 151 Gala Street, Invercargill.

Rainbow Chats is a welcoming, low-pressure peer connection space for LGBTQIA+, takatāpui, MVPFAFF+ and questioning people, with respectful allies welcome. Rainbow safety remains at the centre of the space.

You do not need to know anyone, have the right words, explain how you identify or share more than you want to. Come for a cuppa, conversation or simply some quiet company. Our shared tikanga is grounded in manaakitanga, privacy, consent, respectful kōrero and the freedom to participate at your own pace.

Facilitated by Re:Woven Therapy and Hippie Daze, this group offers a safe, supportive space to explore your own creative expression while connecting with mindful and spiritual practices.

Our 8-week programme begins Thursday 30 July and runs every Thursday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.

We believe in the power of creative arts as platforms of change, fostering healing, resilience, and empowerment for those facing barriers to support. We also work in End of Life Care and Support and Courageous Wellbeing, creating safe spaces for brave conversations.

✅ Project Management & Events Coordination

IT’S A WEEK TO CELEBRATE!

National Volunteer Week, International Pride Month, and as Re:Woven Therapy Charitable Trust celebrates our 3rd birthday as a fledgling trust, we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you.

To our Board of Trustees, thank you for the time, care, wisdom, and steady commitment you give behind the scenes. Your support helps hold the kaupapa of Re:Woven and makes so much of this work possible.

A massive shout-out also to Vanessa, our awesome volunteer. Your dedication, mana, and quiet mahi have been deeply appreciated, especially in supporting our Poetry Pharmacy and the many background threads that help keep the Trust moving.

So much volunteer work happens without a lot of fuss, but it matters. It helps us keep weaving spaces of creativity, connection, healing, inclusion, and belonging.

Three years in, still learning, still growing, still weaving, and so grateful for the people who make it possible.

Kia ora koutou,

We’re excited to be offering Te Taiao Creative Art Tasters as a gentle introduction to our next 8-week Creative Art Therapy Group.

Taster dates are:
Thursday 25 June
Thursday 23 July
10am–1pm
151 Gala Street, Invercargill

These tasters invite people to explore the connection between nature, creativity, grounding, and wellbeing through a hands-on therapeutic art process. No art experience is needed — just openness, curiosity, and a willingness to engage.

Our next group will begin in Term 3, running on Thursdays from 30 July to 17 September, 10am–1pm.

Spaces for the tasters and group are limited, and registrations are now open.

We had such an awesome time creating, connecting, and sharing space with you all.

We love what we get to do, and days like today remind us why this mahi matters.
