Wairua Oro | Rangatahi Wānanga

We’re putting on a special wānanga for our rangatahi - a chilled, creative and uplifting space to connect, unwind, and explore their strengths.

Sharn Parkinson (Harakeke Down South) will be guiding the kaupapa, bringing a calm, culturally rich vibe to help our young people step outside their comfort zone and give new experiences a try. We’re also grateful to be aligning this kaupapa with Sharvae’s beautiful mahi, strengthening the space we’re creating for our rangatahi.

Throughout the day, our rangatahi will get to enjoy taonga pūoro, grounding and relaxing sessions, and learnings around atua Māori and healing. Most importantly, it’ll be a safe space where they can just be themselves. Lunch and snacks are all provided too.

Whānau are warmly invited to join us for the first part of the morning and return again at the end of the session. During the programme itself, we kindly ask that they give our rangatahi some space so we can create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable to open up and be themselves.

Spaces are limited to 25, so we can keep the environment supportive and comfortable.
