🛝 Playground Update
Things are looking very different at the Kākā Point Foreshore Playground!
The committee has made a point of preserving some special nostalgic features from the original playground, which you'll be able to spot in the new one. We've also worked hard to reuse as much of the old playground as possible. Seats, playground equipment, a shelter, plants, and the pea stones have all found new homes.
A big thank you to Ross Richardson for removing the old playground equipment, and to Mike Harvey of Harves Contracting for generously donating the use of his small digger.
We would also like to thank Lyndon Cross Contracting for doing an outstanding job clearing the site, providing excellent value, and accommodating the many requests made throughout the process.
Thank you to Stephen and Adele Gold, and Ralph Cochrane, for providing a site for our green waste disposal.
The site fencing has now been erected, thanks to another kind donation from Glenn Wilkinson Builders. Our contractors will soon begin additional fencing and groundworks as the project progresses. We look forward to seeing the project take shape over the coming months.
