🎂😋Look what’s back for Pet Day tomorrow! 🤗Checkout our incredibly talented Dad’s/Father Figures cakes! They are next level! 🤩👌🤗We had 6 cakes entered. The competition is steep and very competitive!

🤗🤩Hall of Creations 2026!🤩🤗
Our Hall of Creations is now judged thanks to our wonderful judges Jacq Dwyer and Clare Ford. Thank you both for your time and expertise in your selection of our placings in each category and especially for making tomorrow super special for us all! 🤩
A big thank you to the parents and whānau who sourced materials for our students to utilise. These were fantastic and greatly appreciated!
Finally, a huge thank you to our brilliant staff for going the extra mile today to ensure every child felt successful with their creations. The variety and creativity is amazing!

🌟 What an Incredible Week 9 at Kakaramea School! 🌟

We have had non-stop fun, creativity, and activity happening all across the school this week. Here is a look back at what our amazing students have been up to:

🇳🇿 Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori
We kicked off the week celebrating Māori Language Week with engaging activity rotations! Students got hands-on with paper weaving, traditional Māori games, rākau sticks, learning waiata, and exploring local Māori legends.

🚲 Wheels Day Fun
Mid-week saw the return of our popular Wheels Day! Both our junior and senior students had an absolute blast rolling around the turf on their bikes, trikes, and scooters.

🌲 Special Visitors in the Ngahere
To wrap up the week, we welcomed Jason Avery and Amy Buick from the Healthy Active Learning team. They loved exploring our school ngahere/forest and seeing all the fantastic opportunities our tamariki have to stay active, explore, and play outdoors!

🎨 Looking Ahead: Hall of Creations & Pet Day!
Behind the scenes, everyone has been hard at work getting creative for our Hall of Creations Day coming up this Monday! We are putting the final touches on our projects and can’t wait to share all of our creations with you all on Pet Day! 🐶🐱🌾

Pet Day 2026! Is set for Tuesday (22nd September).
Exciting! 🤗
Please find attached the Pet Day timetable and Pet Day Map for 2026.

If the weather does not play ball on Tuesday we have a set postponement date Thursday 24th September. A call will be made by 8am on Tuesday and posted on HERO and on our page so please keep an eye out for it.

Please let your child/ren's classroom teacher or school office if your child is coming to school at 10am on Tuesday with their animal to ensure we can keep track of the attendance on the day. This would be greatly appreciated!
