te toi whakairo - the art of carving
My name is Warren Castle I am Maori wood carver living in Northland.
I am passionate about traditional whakairo and preserving the art form for generations to come. I have over 30 years experience working with some of Aotearoas most reputable Master Carvers.
My specialties are traditional Maori weaponary and celebratory pieces incorporating your individual whakapapa, iwi, thoughts and dreams into artworks.
I enjoy great variety in my work and have been fortunate to have my completed work displayed in government departments, and galleries including the Elephant House in Parnell Auckland.
