Our aim is for all users is to engage in an open, meaningful dialogue about Bay Academy that is both relevant and respectful. All posts and comments will promote the following aspects of digital citizenship behaviours and attitudes:

- Be respectful. Personal attacks or derogatory comments a

imed at specific employees or students are not permitted. Everyone will refrain from making comments that insult or provoke others.
- Be polite. Avoid language that is inappropriate, including remarks that may be misleading, explicit or obscene.
- Be relevant. Let’s keep the conversation related to the topic at hand. Do not post comments that advertise or promote a product or service. In addition, do not use our school page in place of standard communication practices, such as contacting your school principal, in order to share personal issues and concerns.
- Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate or false information will be removed. Posts and comments should be appropriate for an educational environment and for fans of all ages. The page administrators reserve the right to remove comments, not to limit criticism, but to protect the privacy and rights of staff and students. Users are not able to author a post of their own or load media such as video or photos.

Kia ora whanau and community

Wear pink this Friday!

Pink Shirt Day stands as Aotearoa’s (New Zealand’s) vibrant beacon against bullying in schools and workplaces, encouraging everyone to stand together.

Bullying goes beyond unkind words or actions; it can massively impact our mental health and wellbeing. Embracing 'Pink Shirt Day' means contributing to a culture where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels valued and safe. The Māori proverb “Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!” encapsulates the essence of 'Pink Shirt Day', inviting us all to be part of a movement that takes decisive steps towards eradicating bullying, and celebrates the beauty in our differences.

Please encourage your child to wear something pink this Friday.
