A huge thank you to the Kerikeri Mens Shed! 🧡

The Kerikeri Mens Shed have done an outstanding job (once again!) repairing some of our well-loved toys. Thanks again gents for your workmanship, and for donating your time and skills to help us out — you've given these toys a whole new lease of life for our tamariki to enjoy.

And that's not all — the Men's Shed have also donated an extra trailer for our toy transport truck! Ngā mihi nui to you all, this kind of community support is exactly what keeps our toy library running!

🧸 A huge thank you to Marshall Day Acoustics! 🧸

Pictured are the brand new toys purchased thanks to the generous donation from Marshall Day Acoustics — and they're now available for our whānau to hire!

Every toy on our shelves means more tamariki in Kerikeri get to play, learn, and grow, and it's support like this that makes it possible. From all of us on the committee, and from all of our members — ngā mihi nui, Marshall Day Acoustics. We're so grateful for your generosity and for backing local community organisations like ours. 💛

🧸 We have a few spaces that have opened up for new members! 🧸

The Kerikeri Community Toy Library is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit that gives local whānau access to quality toys, puzzles, and learning resources — without the price tag (or the clutter!) of buying new. From baby toys to games for the big kids, we've got something for every age and stage.

Play is how tamariki learn, grow, and make sense of the world — and sharing toys instead of buying new also means fewer toys ending up in landfill. It's good for your kids, good for your wallet, and good for the planet. 🌱

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and supported our sausage sizzle fundraiser last weekend! 🌭

Special shoutout to The Warehouse Waipapa, Cafe Jerusalem, Kerikeri Football club and all our amazing bakers and volunteers who helped make it such a success.

Every dollar raised goes straight back into toys, resources, and support for our tamariki and whānau here in Kerikeri. We couldn't do what we do without this incredible community behind us 💛
Ngā mihi nui to you all!

🧸 Toy Spotlight: Little Tikes Slide

This week's spotlight is on our Little Tikes Slide! There was lots of giggling as these two climbed and raced cars down the "giant ramp".

Photos like these are exactly why we love what we do — seeing tamariki learn, create, and have fun with toys they might not otherwise get to try. 💛

Got a favourite from the toy library? We'd love to feature it! Send us a photo — close-ups of little hands at play, the toy in action, or however you're comfortable sharing — and it could be part of our next Toy Spotlight. 📸

Not a member yet? Come check us out at Procter Library, Cobham Rd — details in our bio!

🧡 FUNDRAISER: Sausage Sizzle for the Kerikeri Community Toy Library! 🧡

Come grab some lunch and support a great local cause! We're holding a sausage sizzle fundraiser on Saturday 15 August, 8.30am–11.30am at Te Puawaitanga (Waipapa Sports Hub).

🌭 Sausage sizzle
🥤 Cold drinks
🍰 Cake stall

All proceeds go directly towards keeping the Toy Library running, purchasing new toys, and covering repairs and maintenance — helping us keep our shelves full of quality toys and learning resources for whānau across Kerikeri.

The Kerikeri Community Toy Library is entirely volunteer-run (with one part-time paid librarian), and every bit of support helps us keep costs down for local families while giving our tamariki access to toys that spark creativity, learning, and fun — without adding to landfill.

Pop by, grab a snag, and say hi! We'd love to see you there. 😊
