🧶🧶Procter Library’s Monday afternoon ‘Yarning’ sessions continue to flourish. Each week sees a new combination of beginner to experienced knitters and crocheters gathering together for learning, laughing and supporting each other with our yarn work.
We asked this week’s yarners to share some thoughts:
"I am grateful for the teaching & patience of this group!"
"It’s so great that these crafts are taught to all age groups! We did so many different things – jumpers, shawls, socks, vests! Thank you for offering the space!"
"Great to be with fellow craft people and the chance to get others enthused."
"I am so grateful to the sewing and yarn space. Since being here I have managed to sew a dress and have also crocheted two hats and that is pretty impressive for me. We have a lot of laughs here and the library ladies make being here so comfortable 😊"
"The best thing I found is getting to know a new community – friendship – learning new skills – knitting & yarning – lots of encouragement, stimulation to return to previous and past hobbies – making connection with others – and alleviating loneliness."
If you are interested in joining, come along to the Makerspace on Mondays between 1 pm and 3 pm. We will take a break for school holidays and resume Monday 12 October.🧶🧶
