Hare Krishna dear parents of pre-schoolers,

We have a positive relationship with Riverhead Montessori Preschool Learning Centre, where a number of our students have begun their early education. The centre provides a calm and nurturing Montessori environment that supports children’s independence and readiness for school.

Riverhead Montessori is currently offering 6 months of free fees until March 2026 for families who enrol before 7th November (minimum 3 days).

What a wonderful Janmastami celebration we had this week! Thank you to all of you who came and supported our school at this most auspicious event.
In order of performances:
Year 1 performed a drama on the appearance of Lord Krishna
Year 2 performed two shlokas Govinda Damodara and the Sri Krishna Balaram Pranama mantra
Year 3 performed a small skit to a song and shlokas
Year 4 performed a dance with the whole class
Year 5 performed a Vaisnava bhajan
Year 6 performed a Vaisnava bhajan.
Year 7 performed a drama on a beautiful pastime of Lord Krishna.
Year 8 sang the Dasavatarstotra (the 10 Avatars of the Lord)
Years 9-11 performed freeze frame reenactments of the Dasavatar (10 incarnations)
Additionally there was a Mrdanga presentation by some of our mrdanga students and a girl's choir group performance led by Madhava Sangini Mataji.

Our World Out of Wack! – Massey Cluster Schools Art Exhibition

We’re proud to be part of this year’s Massey Cluster Visual Arts Exhibition, celebrating the creativity and talent of young artists from schools across West Auckland.

A Special Visit from H.H Subhag Swami

Earlier this week, we had the great fortune of welcoming H.H Subhag Swami to the Hare Krishna School. Subhag Swami is a senior disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and, despite being over 80 years old, continues to travel the world sharing the teachings of Krishna consciousness.

Maharaj visited our Years 3–4 and 5–6 classrooms, where he graciously answered questions posed by the students. His responses were often accompanied by beautiful pastimes from Krishna’s lila, bringing the philosophy to life in a relatable and inspiring way.

It was a truly special opportunity for our students and staff to associate with such an exalted Vaishnava.

Dear Parents, Hare Krishna,

I hope this message meets you and your families well.

I'm sharing an opportunity to attend a Krishna Bhakti parenting workshop with a senior ISKCON educator. Her Grace Aruddha Mataji is visiting ISKCON Auckland next week and is hosting two parenting seminars. Aruddha Mataji has travelled the world extensively over the past ten years, sharing her mature knowledge and experience on the art of Krishna-conscious parenting. This seminar is a must for anyone interested in learning more about parenting from a Krishna Bhakti perspective. Krishna Bhakti sits at the heart of sanatana-dharma. This seminar is open to and beneficial for everyone with a dharmic approach to raising children. Please do join us!

Dinner prasadam will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the seminar. This is a free event. Of course, donations to the temple are greatly appreciated to cover costs and express appreciation for reciprocation.

This will take place on Wednesday, March 19th, at the temple and on Thursday, March 20th, at 61 Tapu Road, Huapai, at the private residence of a devotee family. Please see the attached poster for more details.
