And thats another Age on the Go done and dusted 🤠

What a day! Lovely to see other organisations, stallholders and some of our members there.

We enjoyed the conversation, enquiries and your generosity with purchasing raffle tickets (drawn Monday).

Thanks again to Christy for her superb organisation and to Cecily for volunteering her time to support Age Concern.

We are still selling raffle tickets for our Age on the Go “Get your Hands Dirty” theme. The tickets are available at the office $2/each or 3 for $5. We will be selling them at Age on the Go on Friday the 16 (Expo centre Victoria Street) too. See you there!

Age on the Go is back for 2026!
Join us for Horowhenua's annual positive ageing expo, bringing together local services, support organisations, community groups and activities to help older people stay informed, connected and active.

Earlier this year, the Aotearoa New Zealand National Forum for the Decade of Healthy Ageing asked older New Zealanders what helps them live well as they age and what challenges can make that harder.

A total of 28,479 people responded to the Healthy Ageing Pulse Survey, sharing their experiences across health, housing, transport, connection, work, finances and community life.

Combine the voices, preferences, and aspirations of older generations of New Zealand with economic analysis and wider New Zealand and international research, and the result is 📣For the Long Run Report.
