Older people live a valued life in an inclusive society.

Age Concern promotes wellbeing, rights, respect and dignity for older people. He mahi mō ngā tika me te oranga o te hunga kaumātua. Everything we do at Age Concern Horowhenua is to support our older community to live a great later life, to make the choices that best suit them a

nd to have access to the services and help they need. We stand up for the rights of older people and against ageism and discrimination. Some of our services include:
• Elder Abuse and Neglect Prevention and Response Service!
• Advocacy for the rights of older people!
• Social Connections to combat loneliness and isolation in our community!
• Health promotion activities to promote nutrition, exercise & overall wellbeing!

WORLD ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS WEEK | JUNE 15–21
Elder abuse can happen in many forms Sadly, many older people experience harm in silence.
Join us during World Elder Abuse Awareness Week as we raise awareness, share important information, and encourage our community to speak out and support older people to live safely and with dignity.

This seminar will offer gentle, practical understanding around how change and loss can affect us, what grief may look like, and ways we can move forward in difficult seasons.
