Levin Volunteer Fire Brigade Levin Fire Brigade is a great team of locals and is made up of Career and Volunteers. Based in Levin We attend over 400 call-outs each year.

About a third of our call-outs are to fires. We also respond to medical incidents, vehicle accidents and other requests from people in need. If volunteering with us sounds like something you’re interested in, message us or register on the Fire and Emergency website.

Happy Father’s Day from the Levin Volunteer Fire Brigade! 🚒❤️

Behind every training night, and emergency response, there’s a whānau at home holding down the fort. Today, we’re celebrating all the awesome dads, granddads, father figures, and supportive partners in our brigade who balance serving our community with being there for their kids.

From littlies trying on gear at the station to kids helping out on street appeal collection days, our brigade family wouldn't be the same without them.

Thank you to all the dads in gear, and to the families who share them with us when the pager goes off. Wishing all the fathers in our community a fantastic day!

Levin 341 is currently sitting on stand-by at the Foxton Fire Station, covering the local patch while the Foxton crew is hard at work tackling an structure fire.

🌱 As spring progresses clear dead and dry vegetation from around buildings, make sure emergency vehicles can easily access your property, ensure water supplies are available and keep spring grass growth under control

🍃 How quickly conditions change will depend on spring weather, including temperature, rainfall, humidity, and strong winds

🏡 Now is the time to get prepared. Review your plans, talk with your community, and take practical steps to reduce fire risk before conditions become more challenging

🚨 TRAINING UPDATE: MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT (MVA) RESCUE 🚨

Over the last three weeks, our crews have been hard at work sharpening their skills in Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) response and heavy rescue techniques. ⚙️✂️🚗

From equipment checks and tool staging to hands-on practical extrication work using our saws, hydraulic cutters, and rams, every session has focused on precision, safety, and speed. All of this hard work culminated in a major exercise where the team put their training to the test in realistic scenarios!

Continuous training ensures we’re fully prepared to respond whenever our community needs us most.
A big thank you to everyone involved for their dedication and hard work! 🙌👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

From humble beginnings to the modern day, the Levin Volunteer Fire Brigade has proudly served our community with courage, commitment, and dedication for 125 years! 🚒❤️

To mark this incredible milestone, we are calling on ALL past and present members, families, and supporters—as well as our fantastic local Levin community!
