THE Cook Islands is bucking the global trend by expanding its flight connectivity, Deputy Prime Minister Albert Nicholas told delegates at the opening of the Association of South Pacific Airlines 81st General Session today.

Speaking at the event hosted in the Cook Islands, Nicholas welcomed international partners under the conference theme “Island Economics,” emphasising that for Pacific Island nations, aviation and tourism are inseparable.

We are proud to support the Cook Islands Office of the Public Service Commissioner and their nominated CIG representatives to participate at the Pacific Workforce Planning Conference hosted by the The Australian Public Service Commission in Brisbane, Australia next month.

H.E Catherine Graham and Public Service Commissioner, Carl Hunter, signed the Funding this morning, alongside nominated reps: Myra Patai, Chief Executive Officer, Office of the Public Service Commissioner; Grace Chynoweth, Secretary of Internal Affairs; and Sanjinita Sunish, Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Education.

The Cook Islands will be one of 16 Pacific Island Countries that will be attending the Conference, aimed at strengthening workforce planning capability across the region through collaboration, shared learning, and practical tools that will support a resilient and future-ready Public Sector Workforce.
